Shahada – Embracing Islam
The Shahada is the declaration of faith and the first pillar of Islam. It is a simple yet profound testimony that signifies one’s belief in the oneness of Allah and the prophethood of Muhammad (peace be upon him). The Shahada states:
"Ashhadu an la ilaha illa Allah, wa ashhadu anna Muhammadan rasoolu Allah."
"I bear witness that there is no god but Allah, and I bear witness that Muhammad is the Messenger of Allah."
We welcome and support those who wish to embrace Islam. Taking the Shahada is a deeply personal and spiritual decision, and we are here to guide you through the process with sincerity and care.
How to Take the Shahada:
- The Shahada must be said with sincerity and conviction.
- It is recommended to take the Shahada in the presence of witnesses at the masjid.
- After reciting the Shahada, one officially becomes a Muslim and begins their journey in faith.
If you are considering accepting Islam or have any questions, our Imam and community are here to help. Please contact us or visit the masjid for support and guidance.
May Allah bless you on this journey of faith.
